GREEN SMOOTHIE RECIPES

Sweet Celery

2 small mangos, peeled and pit removed

1 cup chopped fresh pineapple

1 small orange or tangerine

2 stalks celery, chopped

1 head red leaf lettuce

Water as needed

Combine fruit and water and blend until smooth.  Add your greens a handful at a time and reblend.  You can also add ice instead of water to keep your smoothie cool and refreshing.

Popeye

2-3 bananas

3 cups spinach

1 Cup water

Add all ingredients to the blender and blend well. Use ice instead of water if desired.

Conquer the Kale

2-3 bananas

1/2 – 1 bunch of dino kale (also called black or lacinato)

1 handful green grapes

½ avocado (optional)

1 TBS chia seeds (optional)

Water as needed

Blend your fruit and liquid until smooth.  Add your greens a handful at a time.  Add the chia and avocado at the end with a final blend, if desired.

Really Awesome Romaine

2-3 apples, cored and chopped

½ lemon, juiced

1 inch chunk of ginger, peeled and chopped

½-1 head romaine lettuce, chopped

Water as needed for blending

Blend apples and romaine together with water. Next, add just a little of the lemon juice and ginger. Stop to taste, fresh ginger can be a little spicy.

Not so Scary Collards

½ papaya, peeled, seeds removed and chopped

1 banana

1 handful strawberries (if organic, leave the greens on)

½-1 bunch collards

Water as needed

Combing fruit and water and blend until smooth.  Add your greens a handful at a time and reblend.  You can also add ice instead of water to keep your smoothie cool and refreshing.

The Rainbow Connection, for lovers and dreamers

5 strawberries (including tops if organic)

1 orange, add a little of the pith (white stuff) for extra nutrition

½-1 banana

1 kiwi fruit

½ English cucumber, peel included

1 handful of blueberries or blackberries

1/2-1 bunch rainbow chard

Water as needed

Blend everything until smooth.

*Note* we know you don’t like cucumbers, but suck it up! They are amazing for your skin and for rehydrating your body at a cellular level!

Count your Luck Stars

2 pears

1 star fruit (if you can’t find star fruit use 1 cup pineapple) –you don’t need to peel it, just chop it up

2-3 handfuls of baby spinach

Water as needed

Blend until smooth. Add ice instead of water if desired.
